Circle Of Security Parenting
Circle Of Security is an 8 week program designed for parents and carers of children aged 0-12 years who would like support to help their children build secure relationships and to strengthen their bond with their child.
The course provides information, creates discussion and allows for self-reflection, goal setting and the learning of new skills as they look beyond their child’s behaviour to identify and respond to their emotional needs.
Information in this course will assist children and parents to have greater self-esteem, increased capacity to manage emotions and therefore better relationships with family and peers.
Tuning In to Kids
Tuning in To Kids is a 4 or 6 week program that aims to give parents and carers helpful ways of teaching their child the skills of emotional intelligence.
The program teaches:
Awareness and regulation of carers and children’s emotions
How to use children’s emotional experiences as an opportunity for closeness and teaching
Skills in labeling and managing tough emotions
Guiding children in problem solving
Behaviour management through appropriate limits
Tuning In To Teens
Tuning In To Teens is a 4 or 6 session program designed to support parents /carers to help and teach their teenage child to understand and express their emotions in healthy and positive ways.
The course helps parents by teaching them to recognise, understand and respond well to their own emotions, which in turn helps their teen to manage theirs.
The program also aims to deepen the connection between parent and child through good communication, guided problem solving, understanding developmental changes and setting respectful boundaries.
Bringing Up Great Kids & Bringing Up Great Kids - After Family Violence
Written by the Australian Childhood Foundation, this course runs for 6 sessions.
The Bringing Up Great Kids (BUGK) Program is an integrated suite of activities and tools that are unique and offer all parents and carers a fresh way to understand and enact relationships with their children. It focuses on building positive and nurturing relationships between parents and their children. The program aims to support parents to review and enhance their patterns of communication with their children, to promote more respectful interactions and encourage the development of children’s positive self-identity. What To Do With Overwhelm - Theirs and Yours
This course is a 1.5 hour face-to-face workshop that aims to restore the joy of being with our kids, by helping them cope with their big feelings.
This course was developed by Kaylene and is tailored to either professional or parent audiences. Educators and carers may benefit from this workshop as part of their professional development.
It is a practical discussion around managing dysregulation in the children we care for, increasing confidence and capacity by looking at strategies within your unique environment.
Creating A Close-Knit Family
Creating A Close-knit Family is a 4 session group program that provides the opportunity for parents to engage in learning, sharing experiences and receiving support for the purpose of building strong and lasting relationships in their homes.
The course looks at 4 of the essential tasks of building a strong family where everyone feels valued, secure and unconditionally loved.

Understanding your child
Looking after yourself as a parent
Making heart connections with each other

This is a 4 week course, for children who have experienced grief and loss. This course was developed by the MacKillop Institute.
